Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RVPNL) has approved transmission projects worth Rs 267.73 billion to strengthen the state’s power evacuation infrastructure, particularly for green energy. RVPNL cleared 15 major schemes including nine 765 kV grid sub-stations (GSS), four 400 kV GSS, and two 220 kV GSS.
It was decided that all projects exceeding Rs 3 billion will be implemented through the tariff based competitive bidding route in line with Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission directives. The board also approved the monetisation of 13 existing 400 kV grid substation.
