Hartek has secured a contract worth Rs 1.38 billion from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) under tariff-based competitive bidding. The contract is for the development of the 400 kV AIS substation package SS-66T, part of the transmission scheme for integration of renewable energy from the Davanagere, Chitradurga, and Ballari renewable energy zones in Karnataka.

Hartek will execute the project on a turnkey basis. The scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing at the manufacturer’s works, supply including transportation and insurance, unloading, storage, erection, testing, and commissioning.  The substation will support evacuation and grid integration of renewable energy to enhance grid stability and reduce transmission losses.
