The Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) has issued a tender to procure power from 800 MW of wind projects located across India. The project has an additional 800 MW capacity available under the greenshoe option. The power purchase agreement will be valid for 25 years.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of the project includes land identification, project installation, ownership, obtaining connectivity, and securing all necessary approvals. The selected bidders must ensure interconnection with the interstate transmission system (ISTS) or the intrastate transmission system (InSTS) for power injection. Projects must either be commissioned already or commissioned within the stipulated period. MPPMCL will allocate capacity for injection at Madhya Pradesh’s ISTS or InSTS substations and may tie up additional capacity under the greenshoe clause. The capacity utilisation factor for the projects must be at least 22 per cent. Only commercially established and operational technologies are permitted to minimise technology risks and ensure timely supply commencement from the projects. Additionally, only wind turbine models listed in the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers are permitted for use. The bidders are required to submit a money deposit of Rs 632,000. The deadline for bid submission is July 23, 2025.
According to the eligibility criteria, bidders must have a minimum net worth of Rs 12.6 million during the last three financial years. Additionally, bidders are required to have had an annual turnover of at least Rs 6.1 million per MW during the previous financial year.
