Kazam raises $6.2 million in Series B funding round

Kazam has raised $6.2 million in a Series B funding round from the International Finance Corporation and existing investors Vertex Ventures SEA and India and Avaana Capital Advisors. The funds will be used to support the company’s expansion across markets with its energy transition tools. 

The latest round of funding has increased Kazam’s total capital raised to $19.2 million. This funding includes $13 million in equity from past rounds led by Avaana Capital Advisors, Vertex Ventures SEA and India, and Chakra Ventures.

Kazam is a Bengaluru-based EV charging startup. It offers solutions to charging and battery-swapping operators, fleet operators, and electricity grid companies. The company has onboarded over 68,000 chargers, enabled more than 5 million charging sessions, and facilitated 45 GWh of energy.
