Crompton bags Rs 1.01 billion supply order for solar pumps

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals has secured a letter of award from the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency. The order involves the supply and installation of 4,500 off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems. The supply order contract is valued at Rs 1.01 billion.

Additionally, the project falls under Component-B of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan scheme. It is a turnkey project, and includes the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the systems across Maharashtra. Furthermore, the project also includes a comprehensive five-year maintenance contract.

Crompton’s DC submersible solar pumps are intended for off-grid and rural areas and are designed for durability and efficiency. The company is expected to deploy trained field staff, district-level support teams, and a structured after-sales network to manage the implementation and operation of the systems throughout the project duration.
