Enfinity Global sells stake in 380 MW BESS projects in US and Italy

Enfinity Global has sold 49 per cent stake in two battery energy storage system (BESS) projects to Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure Ltd. (DEI). The projects have a total capacity of 380 MW. Enfinity Global will retain a 51 per cent controlling stake and will complete the development, construction, and serve as the long-term asset manager for the two projects.

The first project is a 250 MW BESS with a two-hour duration and 500 MWh capacity. It is situated in US in the Houston zone of ERCOT. The second project is a 130 MW BESS with a four-hour duration and 520 MWh capacity. It is situated in the Veneto region of Italy. The projects are expected to be operational by 2027.

Earlier in January 2025, Enfinity Global expanded its BESS portfolio through two new projects in Texas. These projects have a total power capacity of 425 MW. Construction of these projects is expected to commence in the second and fourth quarters of 2025. These new additions will bring the company’s total BESS pipeline in US to 6.6 GW.
