ACME Solar commissions 112.5 MW under second phase of Sikar solar project

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned 112.5 MW of solar power capacity, under the second phase of its Sikar solar power project. The project is located in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The development follows the commissioning of 52.5 MW earlier this month. With these additions, the project’s total commissioned capacity now stands at 165 MW out of a planned total capacity of 300 MW. The remaining capacity of 135 MW is currently under the commissioning process.

The electricity generated from the project will be sold on power exchanges on a merchant basis. Allocation of the power will be based on optimal commercial utilisation.

With the commissioning of the second phase, ACME Solar’s overall operational capacity has increased from 2,592.5 MW to 2,705 MW. Once fully commissioned, the project is expected to generate around 780 million units of clean energy annually.
