Trinasolar has announced the development of industrial-standard perovskite/silicon tandem solar module, which is capable of exceeding 800 W in peak power output. The newly introduced module features an area of 3.1 square metres and perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells with dimensions 210 mm x 105 mm. The solar cells reportedly have achieved a certified peak output of 808 W, independently verified by TÜV SÜD, a globally recognised testing, inspection and certification body.
This high-efficiency module leverages perovskite/silicon tandem technology, which enables theoretical conversion efficiencies of up to 43 per cent, significantly surpassing the performance thresholds of conventional silicon-based modules. The product also incorporates advancements such as perovskite bulk doping, interface engineering and composite layer design, which significantly improve conversion efficiency and enhance long-term performance.
