Cleantech Solar has commissioned approximately 80 MWp of anchor open access solar photovoltaic projects for industrial clients at its 275 MWp renewable energy park in Tamil Nadu. Power from these projects is being procured on a captive basis by clients to meet energy needs for their manufacturing operations.
The client base for these projects spans multiple sectors. Among the companies sourcing power from the park are US-based solar technology provider First Solar, Indian chemical manufacturer DCW, and advanced materials company Murugappa Morgan Thermal Ceramics. Several of these clients are existing long-term partners who are expanding their use of renewable energy through this park.
In June 2024, Cleantech Solar secured long-term green financing of Rs 8.55 billion from Aseem Infrastructure Finance to support its open access portfolio for solar and wind power projects across multiple Indian states.
