Cypress Creek Renewables secures financing for 104 MW Ostrea solar project in Washington state

Cypress Creek Renewables has announced the financial closure and commencement of construction for its 104 MW Ostrea Solar project, located in Yakima County, Washington. The project’s construction began in February 2025 and is slated to achieve commercial operation by mid-2026. PCL Construction’s solar division (PCL Solar) served as the EPC contractor

Upon completion, Ostrea Solar will generate enough electricity to meet the annual needs of 15,000 to 16,000 average households in Washington. The project is also expected to create around 250 jobs during the construction phase and contribute an estimated $15 million in tax revenues to Yakima County over its operational life.

Cypress Creek Renewables, a prominent developer and independent power producer in the US, develops, finances, owns, and operates utility-scale and distributed solar and storage projects. As of now, it has commercialised 12 GW of solar capacity, owns over 2 GW, and has a development pipeline of 20 GW in solar and storage.
