Enerparc Energy has announced the development of a 35 MWp solar independent power producer (IPP) project in Gujarat. The project is scheduled to begin supplying power from August 2025. Power from the project will be supplied under a group captive open access model.
Early off-takers for the project reportedly include major companies from sectors such as recycling, automotive, packaging and plastics, as well as global mining, indicating industrial demand for renewable energy solutions. The project is specifically structured to serve commercial and industrial consumers in energy-intensive sectors including manufacturing, automotive, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
Furthermore, it also provides a financial hedge against volatile grid tariffs, offering long-term tariff stability and cost predictability while eliminating post-investment maintenance obligations. The project also enables measurable reductions in scope 2 emissions for its consumers. Additionally, the plant is projected to generate 58 million units of electricity annually and reduce around 41,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
