Freen OÜ launches horizontal axis small wind turbine

Freen OÜ has unveiled its horizontal axis small wind turbine Freen-H15, expanding its portfolio beyond its vertical axis models, the Freen-20 and Freen-6. With the introduction of a horizontal axis option, the company aims to cater to customers seeking higher efficiency and the ability to accommodate taller installations. Designed to maximise energy generation, this new turbine is ideal for locations where wind conditions favour traditional horizontal designs. It is engineered for high energy conversion efficiency, easy installation and long-term reliability. The new wind turbine has a rated power output of 15 kW and features an 11 metre rotor diameter. It is mounted on an 18 metre-high tower and is equipped with an asynchronous generator that connects directly to the grid. At an average wind speed of 5 metres per second, it reportedly achieves an annual energy production of 28.6 MWh.
