CleanMax commissions 92.1 MW wind-solar hybrid project in Karnataka

CleanMax has commissioned a 92.1 MW wind-solar hybrid power plant in Bengaluru, Karnataka, aimed at supplying electricity to Cisco’s India campus. The project integrates 69 MWp of solar power and 23.1 MW of wind energy capacity.  The project is reportedly designed to meet over 90 per cent of Cisco’s electricity demand in Karnataka.

The project is expected to generate approximately 181.4 million kWh of clean electricity annually. Additionally, it will also contribute to a reduction of around 129,000 metric tonnes of carbon emissions annually. With this development, CleanMax now supplies a total of 120 MW of renewable energy to Cisco, including a previously operational 28.7 MWp solar facility that has been in use since March 2018.

In March 2025, CleanMax entered a joint venture with Osaka Gas Company Limited to form Clean Max Osaka Gas Renewable Energy Private Limited) which will initially develop 400 MW of renewable energy projects to supply clean power to companies through long-term PPAs.
