Evren, a renewable energy platform established by Brookfield in India, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited for the supply of 300 MW of firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE). This agreement involves the development of hybrid mix of solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems to ensure reliability and consistency of renewable power delivery.
Furthermore, the project is anticipated to enhance grid stability and support utilities in achieving their renewable energy goals by integrating large-scale renewable infrastructure into the power supply chain.
Earlier this month, BrightNight signed a 25-year PPA with NTPC Limited to supply 110 MW AC of FDRE at a tariff of Rs 4.72 per kWh from its 350 MWp solar-wind project in Rajasthan.
