NSEFI and SolarPower Europe ink MoU to collaborate on solar manufacturing

The National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) and SolarPower Europe have signed a MoU to advance collaboration in solar manufacturing. This joint initiative aims to deepen EU-India cooperation by identifying business and financing opportunities for solar manufacturing projects. The move comes amid ongoing global trade uncertainty, with both parties seeking to establish a more stable and forward-looking pathway for resilient and diversified solar supply chains.

The agreement builds on the complementary strengths of both regions. European manufacturers are known for high-yield performance, technical assistance on-site, and long-term reliability. In contrast, India has developed a strong domestic manufacturing base that is rapidly expanding its global presence. Based on this shared expertise, the partnership will work to unlock new avenues for investment and cooperation in manufacturing, while supporting India’s solar energy growth ambitions.

Furthermore, the MoU includes support for addressing regulatory barriers related to market access for solar equipment. It also seeks to facilitate engagement with policymakers to open new channels of cooperation.
