Kazam has partnered with Yuma Energy, a joint venture between Magna International and Yulu Bikes, to integrate battery-swapping units into its existing park & charge (P&C) hubs across India. This integration is aimed at improving operational efficiency for commercial electric vehicle (EV) drivers who rely on timely battery replacements to maintain uninterrupted services.
Through this initiative, users of Yuma’s partner original equipment manufacturers will be able to replace depleted batteries with fully charged ones in a short period of time, enabling quicker turnaround times for commercial EV drivers. The national rollout of this collaboration commenced with the deployment of battery-swapping units at Kazam’s Mahadevapura P&C hub in Bengaluru.
Kazam is a Bengaluru-based EV charging startup. The company currently operates 60 P&C hubs in 10 states and manages an additional 200 hubs in partnership with other companies across 81 cities. These hubs are primarily used by two- and three-wheeler drivers in the last-mile logistics and e-commerce sectors.
