Autoliv has inked virtual power purchase agreements (VPPA) with Alight and Eurowind Energy. The VPPA with Alight will enable the construction of a 100 MWp solar park in Eurajoki, Finland. This project will be operational in 2026 and produce 100 GWh annually.
Furthermore, the VPPA with Eurowind Energy will provide clean electricity from the 48 MW Pecineaga wind park in Romania. This park will generate approximately 176 GWh annually and is expected to be operational by 2027.
These agreements are expected to play a key role in ensuring a consistent and reasonably priced energy supply for Autoliv’s activities in Europe. Additionally, the agreements will secure a renewable electricity supply in the long term. The contracts are for a duration of 12 years and span from 2027-2039.
