Hindustan Power has been awarded a 425 MW solar project by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) through a competitive e-reverse auction. Under the power purchase agreement (PPA), UPPCL will procure electricity from the solar project at a fixed tariff for a duration of 25 years.
The project is expected to be commissioned within 24 months from the date of signing the PPA. No additional details regarding the order have been disclosed. This development aligns with Uttar Pradesh’s ongoing efforts to expand renewable energy capacity and address rising electricity demand.
In March 2025, Hindustan Power signed a MoU with the government of Assam to invest Rs 6.2 billion in solar power and battery energy storage projects.
