IREDA announces FY 2024-25 results 

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has announced the results for the financial year (FY) 2024-25, based on provisional data. The company has reported substantial growth in its financial performance, with loan sanctions rising from Rs 373.54 billion in FY 2023-24 to Rs 474.53 billion in  FY 2024-25 (rising by 27 per cent). 

Loan disbursements increased by 20 per cent, reaching Rs 301.68 billion, compared to Rs 250.89 billion in FY 2023-24. Additionally, the outstanding loan book has also expanded by 28 per cent, growing to Rs 762.5 billion in FY 2024-25, from Rs 596.98 billion in FY 2023-24. This increase in loan sanctions and disbursements highlights IREDA’s continued role in financing renewable energy projects across India. 

In March 2024, IREDA secured a $172 million loan from the State Bank of India Tokyo, with a $66.2 million greenshoe option, through a five-year unsecured external commercial borrowing facility.
