Anish Mandal is partner at Deloitte South Asia, leading the firm’s renewables, new energy and energy transition advisory focus. He has nearly two decades of experience advising clients in the energy, resources and industrial sector. He also spearheads the company’s energy modelling efforts, providing specialised advisory to clients on net zero emissions modelling, AI/ML-based demand and exchange price forecasting, capacity expansion modelling, climate resiliency risk modelling, energy storage value stacking simulations and energy portfolio optimisation. In addition, Mandal is the Asia Pacific lead for the Deloitte Sustainability Centre of Excellence, providing specialised sustainability offerings to clients across the region.
Mandal finds the most rewarding aspect of his current role to be helping clients navigate complexities — whether by developing innovative business models, structuring sustainable investments or leveraging digital solutions to accelerate the energy transition.
