Actis has acquired full ownership of Stride Climate Investments, a solar generation asset portfolio in India, from a Macquarie Asset Management-managed fund. Through this acquisition, Actis now controls Stride’s 371 MW/414 MWp operational solar assets, spread across 21 projects in seven states. The company did not disclose the deal value.
Stride has nearly a decade of operational history and long-term pay-as-produce power purchase agreements with central and state governments, as well as private sector entities. With this addition, Stride becomes Actis’ third active energy generation platform in India, alongside BluPine Energy and Athena Renewables.
Actis LLP is a global investment firm focused on sustainable infrastructure, particularly the energy, infrastructure and real estate asset classes. The company has built or operated more than 8,000 MW of installed capacity in Asia, including over 5,500 MW of renewable energy projects. Actis’ previous renewable energy investments in India include Ostro Energy and Sprng Energy.
