CleanMax has entered a strategic joint venture (JV) with Osaka Gas Company Limited. As part of the agreement, Osaka Gas Singapore Private Limited and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation will invest in a JV entity called Clean Max Osaka Gas Renewable Energy Private Limited (CORE).
In its initial phase, CORE will develop 400 MW of renewable energy projects, starting with approximately 300 MW in Karnataka. The JV will provide reliable clean energy to corporations under long-term corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs). Additionally, through this partnership, Osaka Gas will enter India’s green energy market, leveraging CleanMax’s expertise in decarbonisation initiatives.
In October 2024, Henkel India partnered with CleanMax through a single-user group captive solar PPA to reduce emissions, with CleanMax developing and operating the solar project in Maharashtra. In the same month, Google partnered with CleanMax to develop a 125.4 MW hybrid project, including a 66 MW solar plant in Rajasthan and a 59.4 MW wind plant in Karnataka, to support its cloud and office decarbonisation in India.
