Tata Power declares Q3 FY 2024-25 results

Tata Power has reported its third-quarter results for the financial year 2024-25 (Q3 FY 2024-25), ending on December 31, 2024. The company reported that the profit after tax (PAT) rose by 10 per cent year-on-year, reaching Rs 1.188 billion. The total revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 15.118 billion from 14.841 billion in Q3 FY 2023-24, reflecting a 2 per cent year-on-year increase. The earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by 7 per cent year-on-year to Rs 3.481 billion. 

For the first nine months of FY 2024-25, revenue stood at Rs 47.17 billion, with a 4 per cent growth on a year-on-year basis. PAT rose by 30 per cent year-on-year to Rs 3.91 billion. EBITDA for the period reached an all-time high of Rs 10.64 billion, reflecting a 14 per cent growth. Tata Power’s renewable energy segment recorded robust growth, with PAT increasing by 59 per cent in Q3 FY 2024-25 to Rs 214 million. 

Over the first nine months of FY 2024-25, the segment’s PAT grew by 41 per cent to Rs 787 million. The company’s clean energy portfolio currently stands at 6,700 MW of installed capacity, with an additional 10,000 MW under development, bringing the total portfolio to over 16,700 MW. Tata Power’s transmission and distribution business saw a 7 per cent increase in PAT to Rs 370 million for Q3 FY 2024-25, and a 32 per cent increase to Rs 1.38 billion for the first nine months of FY 2024-25, supported by investments exceeding Rs 3 billion.
