SJVN invites bids for residential rooftop solar projects

SJVN has invited bids for the supply, installation, and five-year operation and maintenance of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic systems for residential buildings under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY) in Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab. Registered as a vendor under the PMSGMBY scheme, SJVN seeks to engage channel partners to facilitate the implementation of these projects.

The selected channel partners will meet the prescribed technical and financial qualification requirements and will be chosen based on the lowest evaluated price for supply, installation, and maintenance services. They will identify potential beneficiaries, raise awareness about the scheme, and aggregate requests through SJVN on the PMSGMBY portal. They will then execute the projects either directly or through enlisted EPC vendors while interfacing with distribution companies in the respective states.

In December 2024, SJVN issued a request for selection for 18 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects in Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Haryana, requiring bidders to handle site surveys, feasibility reports, equipment supply, civil works, commissioning, 25-year O&M, and grid connectivity.
