Oben Electric raises $5.82 million in Series A funding

Oben Electric has raised $5.82 million in a Series A funding round. The funding round saw participation from Ambis Holding US, Kuberan Ventures, Karimjee Group, Mission Vertical’s US-based venture capital entity, Sanjeev Saraf’s family office (Polyplex), Pravek Kalp family office, and other existing investors.

The funds will be utilised to expand Oben Electric’s distribution network and Oben Care services to over 100 showrooms across 50 cities in India by the FY 2026. Additionally, the company plans to enhance its product portfolio.

A Bengaluru-based electric bike startup, Oben Electric sells its motorcycle “Rorr” through over 20 stores in 10 cities, including Bengaluru, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Pune, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram. With a total of Rs 1.5 billion raised to date, Oben Electric operates a manufacturing facility in Jigani, Bengaluru, with an annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 units. The company aims to further expand its offerings and distribution network, including exports, by raising $50 million in Series B funding by mid-2025.
