REC Limited has disbursed loans of Rs 546.92 billion during the third quarter ending December 31, 2024. This represents a 17.98 per cent increase compared to the same period in the previous financial year. Renewable energy loan disbursements for the quarter grew significantly by 58.09 per cent year-on-year to Rs 63.14 billion.
For the first nine months of FY25 (Q1-Q3), REC disbursed a total of Rs 1,456.47 billion, marking a 19.30 per cent increase from Rs 1,220.89 billion during the same period in FY24. Of this, loans for renewable energy projects amounted to Rs 176.12 billion, reflecting a 78.68 per cent year-on-year growth.
In October 2024, REC Limited reported a 17 per cent increase in Q2 FY25 revenue to Rs 135.71 billion, an 18 per cent rise in total income to Rs 266.33 billion, a 25 per cent growth in net interest income to Rs 97.23 billion, an 11 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 74.88 billion, and a 21 per cent surge in both sanctions and disbursements to Rs 603.91 billion and Rs 909.55 billion, respectively.
