Serentica to invest Rs 500 billion in renewable energy in Rajasthan

Serentica Renewables has announced a Rs 500 billion investment to develop 10,000 MW of renewable energy capacity in Rajasthan. The investment aims to accelerate Rajasthan’s transition to clean energy, with projects targeting the power needs of India’s commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors.

Currently, Serentica has 3,000 MWp of renewable energy capacity under construction in the state, along with 400 MWp already operational.

In November 2024, Serentica Renewables announced plans to develop 10,000 MW of renewable energy projects in Andhra Pradesh, combining solar, wind, and storage technologies to deliver round-the-clock green power, with a target of expanding its portfolio to 17,000 MW by 2030.

In March 2024, Serentica Renewables inked its inaugural overseas commercial bank loan denominated in foreign currency, amounting to Rs 35 billion. This financing was intended for the implementation of its round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy initiative in India.
