SWREL secures Rs 5.04 billion solar power project in Rajasthan

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has bagged an order to develop a 305 MWAC/396 MWp DC photovoltaic power plant for Rs 5.04 billion order in Rajasthan. The project has been commissioned by a private independent power producer (IPP). The scope of work involves supplying, installation and commissioning of the solar plant.

In September 2024, SWREL received two domestic orders worth Rs 5.12 billion from private IPPs. The first order was for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 200 MW AC / 250 MWp DC photovoltaic plant for a project in Gujarat. Additionally, it received a letter of award for the EPC of a 50 MW AC/65 MWp DC PV plant in Maharashtra. These orders were given by two private IPPs.

In the same month, SWERL signed an agreement with GameChange Solar for the purchase of solar trackers. GameChange Solar will supply their Genius TrackerTM solar trackers for a 750 MWp solar photovoltaic plant to be set up in the Khavda solar park, Gujarat.
