KPI Green Energy Limited has secured Coal India Limited’s auction to develop a 300 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar project at the Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat. The project carries a contract value of Rs 13.11 billion. The scope of the project includes design, engineering, procurement, supply of equipment and materials, erection, testing, and commissioning.
Additionally, it involves the supply, packing, forwarding, and transportation of PV modules to the site, along with transit insurance for crystalline solar modules designed for a 1,500V system voltage. KPI Green will oversee the project’s comprehensive operation and maintenance for a period of five years. The project is required to achieve a minimum capacity utilisation factor of 28 per cent upon delivery. The tender for the project was floated in September 2024.
In October 2024, KPI Green signed two power purchase agreements with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for renewable energy projects with a cumulative capacity of 620 MW, securing these projects through a competitive bidding process.
