THDC India Ltd has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) from technical consulting agencies for the preparation of detailed project reports (DPR) for floating solar power projects at multiple locations across India. The company is looking to empanel technical consulting agencies for a three-year period to assist in the preparation of DPRs for floating solar power projects in various states.
The states proposed for the preparation of the detailed project reports include Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. The empanelment will be done under two categories: floating solar power projects with capacities up to 100 MW, and those exceeding 100 MW but up to 500 MW.
Consultants and firms empanelled under this initiative will be eligible to participate in future tenders issued by THDC for providing DPR services for floating solar projects. For DPR preparation of projects beyond 500 MW capacity, consultants empanelled under the 500 MW category will be considered.
In September 2023, THDC India Limited issued a request for proposals seeking project management and consultancy services for setting up an 11 MW floating solar project at the Khurja Super Thermal Power Project in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, with an estimated cost of Rs 4.6 billion and a completion timeline of nine months from the signing of the power purchase agreement (PPA).
