Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) has issued a tender to standardise rates and select contractors for 26 MW of rooftop solar systems across grid-connected and off-grid categories under engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode. The bid submission deadline is December 9, 2024. The project is divided into four groups: off-grid systems with 4.8 kVAh battery per kW and capacity ranging from 1 kW to 25 kW (Group A); grid-connected systems from 1 kW to 3 kW (Group B); grid-connected systems from 3 kW to 10 kW (Group C); and grid-connected systems up to 500 kW (Group D).
According to the tender guidelines, the bid security for Group A is Rs 450,000, while Group B requires Rs 2.25 million. For Groups C and D, the bid security amount is Rs 4.05 million each. Selected bidders must also submit an operational performance bank guarantee equivalent to 20 per cent of the lowest bid amount for their respective group within ten days of project commissioning.
According to the eligibility criteria, Group A bidders must have completed solar projects totalling 120 kW, while Group B requires bidders to have executed projects amounting to 600 kW. For Groups C and D, the technical eligibility criteria demand completed project capacities of 1,080 kW. Furthermore, bidders should meet specific financial benchmarks, including an average annual turnover of Rs 4.5 million for Group A, Rs 22.5 million for Group B, and Rs 40.5 million for Groups C and D over the last three financial years. Additionally, all bidders must have a positive net worth in the latest financial year.
