GAIL India has issued a tender inviting bids for a 7.75 MW grid-connected floating solar project in Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh. The last date for bid submission is October 29, 2024. The project will be located within the GAIL Vijaipur complex.
The bidders will be responsible for the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project. They are required to do the O&M for a period of five years and construct a central monitoring and control station equipped with SCADA, PPC panel, and associated equipment at a designated location within the project premises. This may be adjusted during detailed engineering based on site conditions. The bidders also have to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 4.25 million.
According to the tender guidelines, the DC system voltage should be designed for 125V or 250V, with auxiliary voltage provided by a 110V or 220V battery, which will be finalized during detailed engineering. Only Class-I and Class-II local suppliers are eligible to participate in the bidding process.
Earlier this month, GAIL India and AM Green signed a memorandum of understanding to develop solar-wind hybrid projects in India, with a capacity of up to 2.5 GW.
