SolaX unveils new energy storage device

SolaX has introduced a new commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage cabinet called ESS-Trene. This storage cabinet offers a 215 kWh capacity using 280 Ah lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery cells. It is designed for various C&I applications, including peak shaving, demand response, backup power, integration with PV systems and load curve stabilisation. The cabinet also supports virtual power plant and frequency regulation applications.

The ESS-Trene features a rated AC power of 100 kW and has a maximum efficiency of 98 per cent. Its battery system has a 90 per cent discharge depth and a rated charge/discharge current of 140 A. The cabinet has a proprietary energy management system that provides real-time monitoring of each battery cell, a power conversion system and a fire protection system. It can store data locally for up to a year, enabling analysis and verification.

The advanced EMS also excels in intelligent control of various smart operation strategies. The dimensions of the cabinet are 1.68 m x 2.42 m x 1.2 m. It can operate in temperatures ranging from -30 °C to 55 °C, and withstand up to 95 per cent relative humidity. Safety is a key feature of the ESS-Trene, with multiple protection measures in place such as built-in safeguards against overvoltage, overcurrent and over-temperature as well as fire-resistant materials.
