SWREL secures EPC orders worth Rs 5.12 billion from IPPs

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has received two domestic orders worth Rs 5.12 billion from private independent power producers (IPPs). The company has secured an order for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 200 MW alternate current (AC) / 250 MWp direct current (DC) photovoltaic (PV) plant for a project in Gujarat. Additionally, it has received a letter of award for the EPC of a 50 MW AC/65 MWp DC PV plant in Maharashtra. These orders were given by two private IPPs.

In September 2024, SWERL signed an agreement with GameChange Solar for the purchase of solar trackers. GameChange Solar will supply their Genius TrackerTM solar trackers for a 750 MWp solar photovoltaic plant to be set up in the Khavda solar park, Gujarat. In February 2024, SWREL selected Nextracker for a subsequent order to provide its solar trackers for the second phase and third phase of solar projects with capacities 1.5 GWdc and 375 MWdc, respectively, at NTPC Renewable Energy Limited’s solar park in Khavda, Kutch, Gujarat.
