Origis Energy and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) have entered into a power purchase agreement to expand their solar and storage projects in Mississippi. Origis will develop, construct, and manage the operations of the Hope Solar + Storage project in Clay County.
The project includes a 200 MWac solar facility combined with 200 MW (800 MWh) of storage. The power produced will be sold to TVA to aid the region’s increasing population and economic growth. The project is expected to commence operations by the end of 2028, pending environmental and development approvals.
In August 2024, Origis Energy completed a tax equity financing deal worth $71 million with US Bancorp Impact Finance for the Rice Creek Solar project in Florida. This financing will support the development of the solar facility and enhance renewable energy production in the region.
