The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has issued a tender to solarise 10,000 agricultural pumps, under component C-1 of the PM-KUSUM. The scope of the work includes supplying, installation, testing, and commissioning of distributed grid-connected solar photovoltaic systems. The solarised pumps also have to be maintained for five years. The last date of submission of bids is September 23, 2024
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders have to submit a tender fee of Rs 11,800 and an earnest money deposit as a bank guarantee or demand draft of 2 per cent of the estimated cost of Rs 4.07 billion. The bidders must have a positive net worth in the previous financial year.
In July 2024, UPNEDA had declared the winners of its 500 MW rooftop solar auction. Additionally, they had also issued bids for 7 MW rooftop solar systems.
