REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has transferred Rajasthan IV-A Power Transmission Limited, a project specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), to Apraava Energy Private Limited (AEPL). This project aims to facilitate the evacuation of power from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone Ph-IV (Jaisalmer/Barmer Complex). The project will take place on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. The targeted timeline for the implementation of the project is two years.
The project covers construction of 765/400 kV, 4×1500 MVA & 400/220 kV, 5×500 MVA Pooling Station at Fatehgarh -IV, 184.56 Kms of 400 kV line and related work.
A tariff-based competitive bidding process took place, of which AEPL emerged as the winner and subsequently the transmission service provider (TSP).
In May 2024, RECPDCL had issued a request for proposals to develop 200 MW ground-mounted solar power project at Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Further In April 2024, they had issued a request for proposals to develop 223 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected solar projects to be set up anywhere in India.
