SJVN Limited has reported a net profit of Rs 3,570.9 million for the quarter ending June 2024, registering a 31.4 per cent increase from Rs 2,717.5 million recorded in the same quarter last year.
The company’s total income increased by 28.8 per cent to Rs 9,584.7 million during the quarter ending June 2024, up from Rs 7,443.9 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The company’s sales and generation of both hydropower and solar power saw an increase. Hydropower sales reached Rs 7.95 billion and wind and solar combined were Rs 558.3 million. SJVN’s hydro and solar power generation increased 53.93 per cent and 240.45 per cent year-on-year, respectively.
In August 2024, SJVN Green Energy floated a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 75 MW solar power project in Banka, Bihar. In July 2024, they issued a request for proposals for selection of developers to establish 1,200 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected wind-solar hybrid projects.
