The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has announced the winners of its 1.35 GW inter-state transmission system connected wind power projects. The tender also has a a green shoe option of 700 MW under tranche-XVI.
For the project in Gujarat, JSW Neo Energy won 350 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.61 per kwh. The company has also been allotted an additional 350 MW at the same tariff under the greenshoe option. Meanwhile, Powerica has won 50 MW at a quoted tariff of Rs 3.7 per kwh.
For the projects to be set up in Karnataka, Torrent Power won 100 MW at a tariff of Rs 3.60; JSW won 150 MW by quoting a tariff of Rs 3.68 and was awarded an additional 175 MW at Rs 3.60 under the greenshoe option. These companies will enter into a power purchase agreement with SECI for 25 years.
