Gensol Engineering emerges as winning bidder for 116 MW solar projects in Gujarat

Gensol Engineering has emerged as the winning bidder for 116 MW (150 MWp) of solar projects distributed across 27 different locations in Gujarat. The estimated revenue from these projects is Rs 6 billion. The projects will be under the supervision of Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL). The projects are for the feeder-level solarisation in a bid to fulfil the power needs of agricultural feeders. They are expected to be operational in 12 months after the issuance of Letter of Award.

In March 2024, Gensol had bagged a 100 MW AC solar project in Maharashtra – its largest ever in terms of size and power. They followed it up with bagging a 250 MW/ 500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system tender worth Rs 13.4 billion in June 2024. It was awarded by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited under Phase III and will be used for two charging and discharging cycles each day.

Gensol is engaged in the renewable energy sector and specialises in solar power engineering, procurement, and construction services and electric mobility sector. They have over 770 MW of solar projects all over India.
