The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has launched an online portal to trace domestically manufactured solar photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules, and to help verify the domestic content requirement (DCR) for solar PV modules installed across the country. The portal will function as the sole mechanism for verifying DCR.
The MNRE will use this feature to verify DCR compliance in projects under its programms that require DCR. All solar manufacturers listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers are required to register their manufacturing facilities on the portal and begin entering the necessary data into the system. If DCR compliance is not verified through the portal, the MNRE may take specified actions.
