Coal India subsidiary issues tender for 35 MW solar projects

Central Mine Planning & Design Institute, a coal India subsidiary, has issued a request for proposals for cumulative 35 MW grid connected solar projects. The total capacity of 35 MW includes separate tenders of capacities 23 MW, 7 MW, and 5 MW. The projects will be located in Majri area (23 MW), Wani area (7 MW), Chandrapur area (5 MW) of Chandrapur district of Maharashtra.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes the designing, engineering, procurement, provision, construction, testing, and commissioning of solar projects. The bidders will also be responsible for operations and maintenance (O&M) for a period of 10 years. The bidders are required to deposit Rs 5 million for 23 MW, Rs 4.4 million for 7 MW, and Rs 3.1 million for 5 MW, as an earnest money deposit. The bid submission deadline is July 3, 2024 (23 MW), July 4, 2024 (7 MW), July 2, 2024 (5 MW).

The work will commence within 30 days from the issuance of the letter of acceptance and submission of performance security, or within seven days after the site is handed over. The entire contract duration is 3,922 days, comprising 270 days for plant construction, testing, and commissioning ad 3,652 days for comprehensive O&M of the plant.
