NTPC Limited has issued a request for proposals for the selection of developers to supply 1,200 MW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects with assured peak power supply. To be located anywhere in India, the projects will be developed on the basis of build, own, and operate model. The bid submission deadline is July 23, 2024.
Recently, in May 2024, results for NTPC Limited’s auction to develop 1,500 MW of ISTS-connected solar power projects, tranche III, were announced. The tender for the project was issued in February 2024. The projects will be located across India. Apraava Energy has won 50 MW by quoting the lowest tariff of Rs 2.68 per kWh. Other companies have won the following capacities: Avaada Energy – 750 MW, JSW Energy – 400 MW, and ReNew – 300 MW, by quoting a tariff of Rs 2.69 per kWh.
