Sterlite Power has secured Rs 13.73 billion financing from PFC Limited, for its Neemrana-II Kotputli Transmission Limited project. In November 2023, the company took over the Neemrana-II Kotputli Transmission special purpose vehicle to implement the green energy corridor on a build-own-operate-transfer model for a duration of 35 years.
The project involves the construction of two essential elements: a 400 kV transmission line network that spans around 250 km and a 6,000 MVA, 765/400 kV substation located in Neemrana. In addition to providing a line-in line-out that will integrate the Neemrana II substation with the Gurgaon and Sohna substations through the current Gurgaon-Sohna line, this network will connect the Neemrana substation to the current Kotputli substation.
