The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has expanded the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by including an additional 3,508 MW of solar module capacity. This brings the total cumulative manufacturing capacity of modules to 47,971 MW. Rayzon Solar contributes 692 MW to the recently added capacity, whereas RenewSys India adds 576 MW. Other additions include 545 MW by Pixon Green Energy, 494 MW by Kosol Energie, 300 MW by Luminous Power Technologies, 185 MW by Cosmic PV Power, 172 MW by Tata Power Solar, 170 MW by Oswal Solar Structure, 141 MW by ADM Solar Power & Infrastructure, 125 MW by Premiere Energies, 62 MW by Ganesh Electricals, and 46 MW by HQ Lamps Manufacturing Company. Oswal Solar Structure, HQ Lamps Manufacturing Company, ADM Solar Power & Infrastructure, and Luminous Power Technologies were newcomers to the ALMM list.
A capacity of more than 1 GW has been enrolled by Waaree Energies, Adani Solar, ReNew, Tata Power Solar, FS India Solar Ventures, Goldi Solar, Premier Energies, Vikram Solar, Rayzon Solar, Emmvee Photovoltaic Power, RenewSys India, and Grew Energy. They provide 37,682 MW, or 78.5 per cent, of the total capacity under ALMM for manufacturing modules. A combined capacity of 322 MW was delisted from ALMM. The highest capacity module still listed in ALMM remains at 655 Wp.
