VSole has launched the VS-HY series, a new range of single-phase hybrid inverters designed to regulate the flow of power among solar modules, the grid and battery storage systems. The series offers wall-mounted inverters with MPPT technology, available in rated electricity outputs of 3-6 kW. These inverters are designed to work with both lithium and lead-acid batteries. They can also be paired with diesel generators to directly charge the battery, providing a continuous power supply to connected loads. The batteries are managed using either an RS485 or a CAN interface. The inverters offer UPS-grade switching with a 4 millisecond transition time, ensuring seamless operation of the loads during power outages. With a maximum charging/discharging current of 140 amps, users can rapidly charge their battery using grid electricity or surplus energy from the solar system. The MPPT voltages range from 150 V to 425 V, and the inverters can manage a maximum DC input voltage of 370 V from solar panels. With maximum and European efficiencies of 97.6 per cent and 96.5 per cent, respectively, the inverters measure 433 x 330 x 238 mm and weigh 11.4-14 kg.
