Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited issues tender for 200,000 mono PERC solar cells

Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited has issued a request for proposals for the provision of 200,000 mono PERC solar cells with power output of 5.50Wp. The project is estimated to cost Rs 9.5 million.

Bidders participating in the tender are not required to provide an earnest money deposit or performance bank guarantee. The bid submission deadline is May 1, 2024. The order will be divided between two bidders, with a distribution ratio of 70:30. Preference will be granted to ‘Make in India’ products for bids amounting to less than Rs 2 billion, prioritising class 1 local suppliers. To be classified as a Class 1 and class 2 local supplier, a minimum of 50 per cent and 20 per cent local content is mandatory, respectively. Moreover, micro and small enterprises will be granted procurement preference in accordance with the Public Procurement Policy for Micro and Small Enterprises Order of 2012.

To be eligible, bidders or their original equipment manufacturers must have supplied the same or comparable category products—directly or through resellers—to any state or federal government agency, public sector undertaking, or publicly traded company for at least 10 per cent of the bid quantity in at least one of the three fiscal years (FYs) prior to the bid opening date. The bid must include relevant contracts that demonstrate the supply of the cumulative order quantity within any single FY, serving as evidence for the quantity supplied during the relevant FY. If there are multiple bids, the category associated with the primary product having the highest bid value must fulfill this requirement.
