Ahasolar bags consultancy order for 52 MW solar project

Ahasolar Technologies secured the consulting contract from Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) to establish a 52 MW solar project in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The company secure the ten-month contract by quoting Rs 5.1 million. The company intends to utilise the solar project to provide power to three of its refineries: 8 MW for Mumbai refinery, 22 MW for Bina refinery, and 16 MW for Kochi refinery.

Ahasolar will oversee the entire project from conceptualisation to completion within the agreed-upon timeframe. They will ensure that the quality of procurement items and construction workmanship adheres to established engineering practices, standards, and codes, as well as manage project risks effectively. It is also required to develop and finalise all engineering and tender documentation, technical specifications, and the terms of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract. Additionally, Ahasolar will oversee the technical and financial evaluation of EPC bids received by BPCL. Ahasolar is tasked with strategising and overseeing the execution of the project as well as the commissioning activities. Furthermore, they are responsible for offering support after commissioning until the project achieves stability.

In March 2024, BPCL and the Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority, along with the Municipal Corporations of Raipur and Bhilai have signed a MoU for the production of compressed biogas in the state of Chhattisgarh.
