FuturaSun unveils 580 W TOPCon solar panels

FuturaSun has introduced an n-type TOPCon solar panel suitable for both rooftop and large-scale PV projects. Known as the FU570-580M Silk Nova series, these panels boast a glass-backsheet design housing 144 n-type cells sized 182 mm x 91 mm each. Available in three variants, they offer power ratings ranging from 570 W to 580 W, and power efficiencies ranging from 22.0 per cent to 22.4 per cent. With open-circuit voltage ranging between 50.72 V and 51.00 V and short-circuit current spanning from 14.32 A to 14.48 A, these panels are built for optimal performance. They measure 2,278 mm x 1,134 mm x 35 mm, and weigh 28.2 kg. Equipped with a 3.2 mm anti-reflection coating glass on the front side, they ensure durability and efficiency.

These innovative panels are engineered to operate under a maximum system voltage of 1,500 V and feature an IP68 junction box alongside anodised aluminium frames with drain holes. With a temperature coefficient of -0.29 per cent per degree Celsius, they are designed to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C. Moreover, they come with a 25 year linear power output guarantee and a 15-year product guarantee, assuring reliability and longevity. The first-year degradation rate is claimed to be 1.0 per cent, and the company guarantees a 25-year end power output of at least 89 per cent of the nominal output power.
