Central commission approves tariff of Rs 2.9 per kWh and Rs 2.95 per kWh for SECI’s 600 MW wind projects

In response to a petition submitted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has granted approval for a tariff of Rs 2.9 per kWh and Rs 2.95 per kWh for SJVN’s 100 MW and 500 MW wind project (Scatee India II B.V. – 300 MW and Teq Green Power XI – 200 MW), respectively, inclusive of Re 0.07 per kWh as trading margin, for the acquisition of power from 600 MW inter-state transmission connected, tranche XIII, wind projects. The SECI issued letters of award to the winning bidders on January 19, 2023.

In February 2024, the CERC granted approval for a tariff of Rs 2.6 per kWh for the acquisition of power from SECI’s 600 MW inter-state transmission connected, tranche XI, solar projects.

In December 2023, the CERC granted approval to a request from ReNew Sun Waves for compensation, both pre and post the commercial operation date, aimed at mitigating the financial repercussions of safeguard duty on solar cells or modules, along with the elevated customs duty on solar inverters.
